Stops to Make You Think, Doesn't It?

I keep a paper journal as well as my online journal. Although I am somewhat guarded in my OLJ, I write all kinds of things in my paper journal. This item is disturbing because the prosecution will use this note as evidence against the defendant.

Now, I'm not exactly saying that the note shouldn't be used as evidence, but who's to say the wife really felt that way? What if that's just how she felt that particular day? I've written terrible, probably incriminating, things in my journals over the years about my DH and my DD, and it's quite frightening to think that if, gods forbid, something ever happened, and I were to be charged with a crime, my journals would be used against me. I guess the old adage is true: never write anything down that can be used against you later (or something like that).

In other news, was this really the only reason we went to war? I like the popup subtitle: "A Con Man Pushed the U.S. into War."
